cote d’ivoire

~ we were pretty relieved when the danger status was turned down to yellow this week, but the recent headlines from the cote d’ivoire have left us feeling unsure of our protectors at the pentagon: “French troops save American children held in Ivory Coast”. We understand that the USMC was busy ‘training’ in djibouti, and the USN was occupied with that los angeleno stranded off costa rica, but weren’t there just a few members of delta force who are not in a north carolina prison for killing their wives to whom you could have loaded onto some john deeres? at least, suffer us not the humiliation of having french troops save american consumers in manhattan.

~ parents of west harlem: please inform your inarticulate street urchins that not every bald vegan is named ‘moby’.

white house phone number

~ the angry red planet has received the following message to our inbox. we asked the sender to provide a source for the text, but they have neglected to do so. we have tracked down a remarkably similar passage at the end of an article at alternet.org [w]; we wonder what the white house number for reporting plagiarism might be? anyway, please note that you can call in your position either “for” or “against” the war in – and around – iraq that will regardless take place; who is to say that democracy is at risk?

Below is the number to the White House where you can actually call & say yes or no to the potential “war on Iraq”. G.W. claims to want to hear it directly from the American People. All calls need to be between the hours of 9-5 eastern time monday through friday I just called the White House at 202-456-1111. A machine detains you for only a moment and then a pleasant live operator will thank you for saying “I oppose” (or “I approve of”) of the proposed war against Iraq. It will only take minutes! The president is asking to know what the American people are thinking. Tell him. Please forward this if you want.

~ as pertaining to our previous post, a first level of cessation, if not completion, of the work on the latest cc has been reached. while some may find the results ‘bizarre’, we have it on good authority that the cage in which the rabble is ensnared shall be dashed nonetheless to splinters against the ramparts of the work. hopefully, we can make known this piece, along with another cooked up this summer, to our loyal viewers soon. however, for now, we must keep mum about our authorship until certain results and permissions have been given. in the meantime, satisfy yourselves with a few images of rejected furniture proposals in the ‘objects and furniture’ section of our ‘portfolio‘.
