~ the hordes of readers who writhe in frustration at every visit to this log should be informed of the ease of increasing the frequency with which the log is updated were they to donate a laptop to the angry red planet.

~ as our readers are aware, this is not a blog. nonetheless, we are implementing a ‘comment’ system, if for no other reason than to firmly establish that no one is interested in reading or responding to our routine news missives.

for that matter, anyone who thinks that wit is nurtured – rather than diminished – by repetition.

~ we have not been updating the log in a while, due to our attention being placed elsewhere in recent weeks. while some of our time has been wasted by standing on the corner looking for work, we have also begun a couple of projects, in both text and space, including a collaboration with from the ground publications [w], that we have decided are currently more worthy of our energies. believe it or not, it takes a large degree of effort and time to craft lines such as the line about mr. stokes; at this time, a frequency of posts would mean a loss of quality which our readers surely do not desire nor deserve. we have plans for the future orientation of this site, and the log will still have a place in it; until then, though, the updates here will be somewhat less frequent, and they will likely be of a more internal nature.

~ to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of our log, the angry red planet has added a dozen or so log images to the archived logs, which you can enter with the menu at the bottom of this window. as you attempt to discover the new images, enjoy the rereading and reliving of our – and your – past victories and defeats.

~ after a morning of backing up some of our video files, we made our first foray via train into spider-man’s hometown of queens. our primary intention was to visit one of the 10 coolest things in the modern world, the unisphere, but we were surprised to find it almost upstaged by a overgrown neighbor. the possibility of a queens scene report has arisen. perhaps.

~ we have not forgotten this freaking log in fact, while sleeping on the living room floor last night, a dream of updating this log was envisioned. however, events have been less than remarkable lately, for the week has been spent packing supplies, moving goods to the boys’ and girls’ club, and throwing worthless furniture into the alley behind the angry red offices. all time is being spent preparing for the big move, or spent reading in the front yard.

~ it has come to our attention that there is some movie award show or other in los angeles tonight. we can promise not only will we not seek out this year’s ceremony; we will also promise to take no part in the viewing of next year’s contenders: ‘say it isn’t so’, ‘tomcats’, or ‘see spot run’.

~ saving the best for last, it looks like macedonia has finally decided to get involved in some ethnic persecution. how on earth did these people get along for most of the century as yugoslavia, just to sell out their neighbors in a couple of years’ time?
